Your First Visit
At Dr. Latham’s Toledo dental office, a new patient means a new friend. We’ll introduce you to a new age in dentistry – with conservative procedures, durable restorations, and state-of-the-art technology. Then we’ll partner with you for a lifetime of oral health and beautiful smiles.
At your first visit, plan to discuss your health history and primary dental concerns with Dr. Latham. If necessary, we’ll update your records with X-rays and photographs. After a gentle cleaning by our hygienist, Dr. Latham will thoroughly exam your mouth for signs of decay, gum disease, or occlusion problems. He will also look for oral cancer cells using ViziLite technology for early detection.

Usually the doctor will discuss his recommendations for treatment with you at the first visit, but sometimes it is necessary to schedule the treatment plan consultation separately. We are not an “in and out” practice. We will take as much time as needed to inform you of our findings and to explain options for treatment. We want you to feel confident with your decisions before we move forward with your care. We do not charge for a separate consultation visit.
